Getting Here From Jenks
Jenks sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River, south of Tulsa. The usual route is east on the Creek Turnpike and then down into Broken Arrow, which avoids going through the middle of Tulsa entirely. From there you come onto E Kenosha Street, which is OK-51B.
Parking is at ground level off Kenosha in the Tiger Plaza building.
What Jenks Is Like
Jenks has changed more than most of its neighbours. The old Main Street antique district is still there, and so is the small-town core, but the Riverwalk development and the Oklahoma Aquarium turned the riverfront into somewhere people visit rather than drive past.
Jenks Public Schools has a reputation that draws families into the district deliberately, and the housing built along the river over the last twenty years reflects that. As in Bixby, the result is a lot of households with children of several different ages at once.
Why the Drive Is Worth Planning
The river is again the constraint. Jenks is closer to our office in a straight line than the drive suggests, because the crossings determine the route.
We are open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m. For patients coming from Jenks, an early appointment before the Creek Turnpike fills up is generally the easiest.
Making One Trip Count
We group appointments where we can. A family can be seen back to back, and several procedures can be combined into one longer visit rather than four short ones, with sedation available if that helps.
