Payment Options and Insurance
More than 20 plans accepted, benefits checked before you arrive, and the cost of treatment given to you before the work starts.
Dentistry For You accepts more than twenty dental insurance plans, and the front desk checks your benefits before your first appointment rather than after it. You get the cost of treatment before the work starts.
Insurance We Accept
The plans below are the ones we work with. Acceptance and the level of cover both depend on your individual policy, so call (918) 355-1391 with your card to hand and the front desk will check what yours actually pays.
United Concordia includes Tricare and Active Duty plans. Veteran patients are welcome by VA referral.
How We Handle Your Benefits
When you book, we take your insurance details and check them with the carrier before you come in. That means the estimate you get at the end of your exam reflects your actual plan, not a general guess.
Most dental plans work on a yearly maximum and reset in January. If you have treatment outstanding and your maximum has nearly run out, it is often worth splitting the work across two calendar years. The front desk will tell you when that applies rather than letting the benefit expire unused.
If You Do Not Have Insurance
Plenty of our patients do not. You will still get the cost before treatment starts, and the plan can be staged so the urgent work happens first and the rest follows when it suits you.
Ways to Pay
We take cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Financing
Dental financing has been available through Cherry, which splits the cost of treatment into monthly payments. Ask the front desk whether it is the right fit for what you need and what the current terms are before you apply.

What Dental Insurance Usually Does and Does Not Cover
Plans differ, but the shape is fairly consistent. Preventive care, meaning checkups, cleanings and X-rays, is usually covered at or close to the full amount, because it is cheaper for the insurer than what happens without it. Basic restorative work such as fillings and extractions is typically covered at around half to eighty per cent. Major work such as crowns, bridges and dentures is usually covered at a lower rate again, and often has a waiting period on a new policy.
Purely cosmetic treatment, such as whitening or veneers placed for appearance alone, is generally not covered at all. The line is not always obvious: a crown on a cracked tooth is restorative even though it also looks better, so it is worth having us check rather than assuming.
Almost every plan has an annual maximum, and it is lower than most people expect. That is why the order of treatment matters as much as the treatment itself.
Getting an Estimate
We cannot quote a price over the phone for treatment nobody has examined yet, and any practice that does is guessing. What we can do is tell you what your plan covers for a given procedure, and give you a firm number once the dentist has looked.
